By the Tripzoy team · 4 min read

How to reach Manali

The nearest airport is Bhuntar (Kullu). Most travellers take an overnight Volvo bus or a cab from Chandigarh or Delhi.

Day 1: Arrive and settle in

Check in, rest after the journey and walk around Mall Road in the evening.

Day 2: Local sightseeing

Hadimba Temple, Vashisht hot springs and the Tibetan monastery area, followed by an evening in Old Manali's cafés.

Day 3: Solang Valley and Atal Tunnel

Head to Solang Valley for adventure activities and snow in winter, then cross the Atal Tunnel towards Sissu and Lahaul side. Start early to beat traffic.

Day 4: Free day or Naggar and Kullu

Use the day for Naggar Castle, a river-side stop at Kullu, or rest. Rohtang Pass needs a permit and is seasonal, so confirm availability before planning around it.

Day 5: Departure

Check out and drive back to Chandigarh or Delhi, or to Bhuntar for your flight.

Best time

March to June for pleasant weather and October to December for early snow. Snow is most likely from December to February.
