Bali Trip Cost from India: Budget, Mid-Range and Villa
By the Tripzoy team · 6 min read
Short answer
A 5 or 6-night Bali trip from India costs roughly ₹60,000 to ₹90,000 per person on twin sharing, including flights, a mid-range hotel or villa, a private driver for sightseeing and food. Budget travellers can spend less; luxury pool villas cost much more. These are approximate figures that change with the season and the rupee.
Flights
Return flights from Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru or Chennai, usually with one stop in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur or Bangkok, cost about ₹25,000 to ₹40,000 per person when booked early. Peak holiday dates cost more.
Visa and fees
Indian passport holders can get a visa on arrival (or apply online in advance) for about IDR 500,000, roughly ₹2,700. Bali also charges a tourist levy of about IDR 150,000 per person, which you pay online or on arrival. Check the current rules before you travel.
Stay
A good 3 or 4-star hotel is about ₹4,000 to ₹8,000 a night. A private pool villa in Ubud or Seminyak starts at about ₹7,000 to ₹15,000 a night and goes far higher for luxury villas. Most couples split their stay between Ubud and the beach.
Getting around
A private car with a driver for a full day costs about ₹3,000 to ₹4,500. A Nusa Penida day trip with the boat and a driver on the island is about ₹4,000 to ₹6,000 per person. App-based taxis work in many areas but not everywhere.
Food and activities
Local warungs serve meals for a few hundred rupees; cafés and beach clubs cost more. Budget about ₹2,000 to ₹4,000 per person per day for food. Temple entries are cheap; activities such as rafting, a swing or a water-sports package are roughly ₹2,000 to ₹5,000 each.
How to save
Travel between April and June or in September, outside Indian school holidays. Book flights early and look at connections through Kuala Lumpur or Singapore. A package with the villa, driver and transfers is often cheaper than booking each separately.
