Which area is best to stay in Manali?

It depends on the trip. Mall Road: The centre: shops, restaurants and the bus stand. Old Manali: Cafés and guest houses across the river, quieter and younger in feel. Log Huts area and Hadimba Road: Hillside hotels among cedar trees, a short ride from Mall Road. Solang and Palchan: Closer to the snow points and adventure sports, farther from town.
